It is recommended to balance the battery. While the board will be ready to use after using B.E.R.T., it is beneficial to balance the board after any RLOD clearing, including if done by a different company or method. Balancing the board will help reduce the risk of further RLOD and extend the life of the board. During the balancing process, the battery in the board balances cells by discharge balancing, slowly draining cells to match the lowest cell.

The battery will balance itself as long as it is connected to a charger for an extended period of time.
It does not matter if your battery is attached to your board or not. However, if your battery is connected to B.E.R.T, the B.E.R.T. Client must be connected to B.E.R.T. in order for your battery to balance.
Balancing may take up to two weeks. If your battery does not balance after more than two weeks, you may have a dying battery pack and your battery may need additional attention.
-
Your battery does not need to be connected to B.E.R.T. to balance, although we do recommend using B.E.R.T. to regularly check up on your battery’s balancing status every once in a while!
B.E.R.T. does not speed up the balancing process inside your battery.
